Hello!
Welcome to my new blog!
We just bought a new house (3 houses away from where we currently live!) and we are going to be working on remodeling it a little bit before moving in. I am planning on keeping track of my design ideas and experience here.
I am also planning on using this blog as a diary of my experience in Feng Shui and Space Clearing. I have learned a ton about fend shui over the past several years and I have tried to apply it to my current home and will attempt to use the same principles in the new house.
I am new to space clearing. The first few times I heard about it, I thought it sounded, well, far-fetched. But after experimenting with some of it, I've found it to be very effective for improving the energy of a space.
For anyone who is new to these concepts, I will tell you - I understand, it sounds so unbelieveable.
I think the perfect metaphor for someone who is new to the idea of spaces having their own "energy" is this: almost everyone can relate to the experience of feeling tension so thick that you could "cut it with a knife." We all, I think, know that heavy prickly sensation that fills the air when someone has had an argument. Sometimes a space can make us feel happy, comfortable, welcome. Some places feel cold, lonely, or stiffling. Are you with me? :)
Here is the log. the blog. the Diary of strange housey experiences. The curve of learning about how to make the most out of your space, so that it reflects who you are, and nurtures the people who live there.
Hmmm, I think I'm much more of a Hera person than I was in my 20s... Such is life!
